We’re pretty fond of every other day too. See below for our general weekly events.
Whether you’ve been part of church for years, haven’t been to church for a long time, or have never been before, you’re really welcome at Festival Church.
Our doors are open from 10:00am, with free tea, coffee and biscuits available, and our Sunday gathering starts at 10:30am.
It’s a relaxed, friendly time where we sing, pray, explore the Bible and discover what faith in Jesus means for everyday life. You don’t need to have everything figured out — just come as you are.
That includes the dress code! Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Most people come in casual or smart-casual clothes, but there’s no specific dress code.
Not sure what to expect? Don’t worry! There’s no test, no special words you need to know, and no expectation that you have to join in with everything. Just come along and see what we’re about.
What about the children and young people?
During school terms, after the singing, we invite children from babies and toddlers through to Year 9 to join one of our age-appropriate groups, where they can learn about Jesus, make friends and have a great time.
Parents with babies and toddlers are very welcome to stay in the main Sunday gathering. If your little one needs a bit of space, our café area is available, where you can still follow what’s happening.
Stay for a coffee
After the Sunday gathering, we carry on the conversation with more free tea, coffee and a light snack. It’s a great opportunity to meet people, make friends and get to know us. There’s no pressure to rush off — stay as long as you like!

WHAT'S ON
There’s usually something happening at Festival Church Prestatyn during the week. Here are some of our regular events:
Our Connect Groups meet regularly throughout the week, both in person and online. Small groups are a place to build friendships, grow in faith and support one another through everyday life. Get in touch if you’d like to join a group.
Tuesdays, 10:00–11:30 am during school term time
Little Lights is a friendly space for babies, toddlers and their parents or carers. Come along for play, activities, refreshments and a chance to connect with other parents from the church and the wider community.
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:00 am–1:00 pm
Our Community Café is open to everyone — you don’t need to be part of the church to come along.
Enjoy a warm welcome, good food and company. Tea, coffee and usually cake or biscuits are available free of charge. There is usually a £2 donation towards the cost of the food.
The Community Café also runs alongside FareShare, a UK-wide charity network that helps tackle hunger and food waste by redistributing surplus food to communities. FareShare food is available for £4 per visit.
New Beginnings is a friendly ladies’ Bible study where we explore the Bible, learn together and encourage one another.
Wednesdays, 4:00–6:00 pm
Chapel is a quiet space where you can slow down, reflect, pray and spend some time connecting with God. Come for as little or as long as you like.
Wednesdays
Our young people gather each Wednesday to have fun, build friendships and explore faith together. Get in touch for more details.
Thursdays, 2:00 pm
A relaxed midweek gathering for worship, prayer, Bible teaching and fellowship. We gather to sing, pray and learn from God’s Word, with tea, coffee and a light snack before and after.
On the first Thursday of each month, we also share Communion together.
Tuesday mornings, 7:00 am – at the church
A group gathers at the church each Tuesday morning to pray together.
Thursday evenings, 8:30 pm – online
We meet online each Thursday evening for prayer, with a particular focus on mission.

LEADERSHIP
Lead Pastor | Prestatyn
Roger has been the Lead Pastor at Festival Church Prestatyn since September 2019. He joined the Festival Church family in March 2019 after serving in local churches in South Africa for 23 years.
Roger is married to Nicole, with two children. In his spare time, he enjoys cricket, golf and finding new flavours of ice-cream!
OUR STORY
Festival Church Prestatyn began its life in 1949 when three local families joined together as Assemblies of God Church Prestatyn. In 1967 the church had outgrown its small hut near the town centre and moved premises to its current location on Victoria Road. The church then continued to grow which resulted in the need for an extension to the building, coinciding with a new name for the church - Calvary Church.
In 2016 we marked the next chapter of our journey by changing our name to Alive Church, which was closely followed by us becoming part of the Festival Church family in March 2017, and changing our name to Festival Church Prestatyn in January 2020.
